| Raleigh Peeps- hormone free, free range meat sale |
[Jan. 22nd, 2009|10:17 am] |
I buy my milk and eggs from Mae Farms at the Farmer's Market shoppes- they have hormone-free, free-range and cruelty free certified meat-if I ate meat, I would buy from there. Milk comes in returnable glass bottles which you pay deposit on but when you go back and return the bottle they deduct from your cost- anyway this is everything I love, reuse, recycle, hormone free, blah blah... Anyway, if you do eat meat, they are having a sale, so stop by the Farmer's market this week/end if you want to find out what that is like.
Yes I am a veg but I highly support this kind of farming practice, so sometimes I have to support the only way I can- with a Shout out!

| Dear RDU International airport |
[Nov. 6th, 2008|10:42 pm] |
Dear RDU International airport,
Thank you for entering the modern era. A little more warning would have been nice, I thought I entered an alternate dimension when I arrived early this morning to the new terminal, but at least you now offer Starbucks to shake me from my sleep stupor. I applaud you for your clean lines, shiney walls and floors, modern check in kiosks, used bookstore, and overall presentation as a 21st century airport.
Please add a train and park and ride lot and you will have my eternal gratitude.
Sincerely, Zanski |

| for Raleigh/Wake County People- re Voting |
[Oct. 28th, 2008|10:03 am] |
| [ | mood |
| | cold | ] | I voted early yesterday at the Salisbury St. voting location. NO WAIT. We had no trouble parking, we even got a spot on Fayetteville St. right across from the voting office. There was tons of parking left, too. I've heard the lines at the malls are about an hour long.
So I'm telling you
Go Vote AND Make it easy on yourself- go downtown.
Never thought I'd hear myself saying that!
I'm looking forward to Halloween (Booty band at Lincoln!) and boring stuff like raking the lawn and drinking hot chocolate this weekend! |

I had forgotten the goodness of this 1990sness. You may disagree and I care not. I take a red eye home from CA tomorrow night to NC for good. Supposedly I was to be in San Diego until Sept. 12. Now I am taking a red eye home tomorrow. This is a good thing. they want to convert my travel budget to billable hours. This means they love me and trust me as much as you can in business, plus it is $$ in pocket, instead of for travel expenses, hello! Making my ass even more profitable. People accuse me of being a workaholic but I wonder what might actually happen if I was.
Ah well dream the impossible dream bitches and good night. and while you were out-

I love Neil Diamond and you can fuck yourself with a chainsaw if you have a problem with that. I also refer to myself as a nomad these days. If you go cross country multiple times a week, you get to refer to yourself as a nomad, and have underwear in your car. Period. You just have to warn people about the underwear.
plus, i fooled you, I still have lyrics!!!!
Far We've been traveling far Without a home But not without a star
Far We've been traveling far Without a home But not without a star
Free Only want to be free We huddle close Hang on to a dream
On the boats and on the planes They're coming to America Never looking back again They're coming to America
Home, don't it seem so far away Oh, we're traveling light today In the eye of the storm In the eye of the storm
Home, to a new and a shiny place Make our bed, and we'll say our grace Freedom's light burning warm Freedom's light burning warm
Everywhere around the world They're coming to America Every time that flag's unfurled They're coming to America
Got a dream to take them there They're coming to America Got a dream they've come to share They're coming to America
They're coming to America They're coming to America They're coming to America They're coming to America Today, today, today, today, today
My country 'tis of thee Today Sweet land of liberty Today Of thee I sing Today Of thee I sing Today |

I came to have a Journey obsession this weekend but it has reached outrageous levels. This is the last of my Journey related posting. Except that one time I had a crazy mad dream involving oceans, Master Shake, and the song "Wheels in the Sky". There are only 3 or 4 people in the world who could ever understand the significance. and in the dream, there were actual wheels in the sky. BIG WHEELS. And Master Shake was divining important messages about my life to me. yes meatwad was there. They said "This is the most important thing that will ever happen to you". There were other people from my life there. It is what it is. So mote it be and all that.
Ya know, everyone has personal symbols, okay? STOP JUDGING ME. :)
Just a small town girl, livin in a lonely world She took the midnight train goin anywhere Just a city boy, born and raised in south detroit He took the midnight train goin anywhere
A singer in a smokey room A smell of wine and cheap perfume For a smile they can share the night It goes on and on and on and on
Strangers waiting, up and down the boulevard Their shadows searching in the night Streetlight people, living just to find emotion Hiding, somewhere in the night
Working hard to get my fill, Everybody wants a thrill Payin anything to roll the dice, Just one more time Some will win, some will lose Some were born to sing the blues Oh, the movie never ends It goes on and on and on and on
(chorus)
Dont stop believin Hold on to the feelin Streetlight people |

this is funny because its true
Highway run Into the midnight sun Wheels go round and round Youre on my mind Restless hearts Sleep alone tonight Sendin all my love Along the wire
They say that the road Aint no place to start a family Right down the line Its been you and me And lovin a music man Aint always what its supposed to be Oh girl you stand by me Im forever yours...faithfully
Circus life Under the big top world We all need the clowns To make us smile Through space and time Always another show Wondering where I am Lost without you
And being apart aint easy On this love affair Two strangers learn to fall in love again I get the joy Of rediscovering you Oh girl, you stand by me Im forever yours...faithfully
Oh, oh, oh, oh Faithfully, Im still yours Im forever yours Ever yours...faithfully |

I feel like I am on vacation from my life, but it is a working vacation. I miss my man, my friends, my kitties and my life.
things are good here though. They love me. I'm the new "it" girl, lol. But here is sort of an excerpt of today.
today is a strange day. I knew it would be a good day for me because when I got in the car and the radio came on, it was Journey, "Don't stop believing" and I said "This is the start of a great day". And it has been. I've opened up a bunch of new jobs and gotten a lot accomplished AND got a "atta girl" pat on the back conversation from the VP of marketing. and I had good indian food for lunch :) Plus, of course, the added bonus of having Journey stuck in my head all day.
just thought I'd share my testimonial for the power of Journey.
i guess that sums it up. |
